Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony

Houston Kali Temple A New Spiritual Beginning

With heartfelt joy and devotion, we are pleased to announce a historic moment in our collective journey—the Bhoomi Pujan (Groundbreaking Ceremony) for the future Houston Kali Temple, dedicated to Maa Kali. This sacred ritual marks the auspicious beginning of temple construction and the opening of a new spiritual chapter for our community.
Bhoomi Pujan: Honoring Mother Earth
In the rich Hindu tradition, Bhoomi Pujan is performed before construction begins to honor Bhoomi Devi (Mother Earth). Through prayers and offerings, we express gratitude, seek forgiveness for disturbing the land, and invoke divine blessings for harmony, prosperity, and protection. With Maa Kali’s grace, this land is dedicated to spirituality, culture, and service for generations to come.

Guest of Honor

We are deeply honored to welcome Trey Duhon, Waller County Judge, as our Guest of Honor. His presence reflects the spirit of unity and the strong bond between cultural heritage and civic leadership in our region.

Looking Ahead

This Bhoomi Pujan is the first step toward creating a spiritual home open to all. In the months ahead, we will share updates on temple progress, cultural programs, Durga Puja celebrations, and opportunities for you to participate in this sacred journey.
